Executive Master of Business Administration MBA in HoReCa industry using VR technology
The project was awarded by the Marshal of the Pomeranian Voivodeship for the use of VR technology in education in the category Innovation in Tourism 2022.
MBA (Master of Business Administration) is an advanced program covering business management and preparing to manage institutions in the HoReCa industry.
The MBA in Hospitality Industry, created by the Academy of Tourism and Hotel Management in Gdańsk, is an ideal solution for those who want to improve or gain practical skills in the most dynamically developing service sector. Our programs emphasize the creative application of knowledge in real-world projects which allows to gain valuable experience not only in the hospitality industry, but also in other related industries.
1. Aim of the studies
- The aim of the studies is to prepare students for professional business management in the HoReCa industry. MBA students will have access to, among others, detailed information in the field of management, including strategic, financial, marketing, operational, and other information. The goal is also to understand how a company in the HoReCa industry operates or should operate as a whole. Lectures and exercises will provide students with theoretical knowledge which is used during workshops ensuring the acquisition and improvement of the desired practical skills directly related to project management. MBA studies emphasize the development of leadership skills, including optimal team management, minimizing the occurrence of problems.
2. Candidate’s profile
- MBA postgraduate studies are dedicated to both young and experienced managers who want to learn, apply and develop tool (methodological) skills in managing facilities and human resources in the HoReCa industry. Although experience in this field is not a prerequisite for participating in MBA studies, it will certainly facilitate participation in classes.
- An MBA participant can be a person who has a full qualification at least at the bachelor's level and has at least 3 years of experience in a managerial position.
3. Institution confirming the qualification
- Academy of Tourism and Hotel Management in Gdansk
- A person who has completed MBA studies receives a certificate of completion of these studies issued by the Academy of Tourism and Hotel Management in Gdansk.

To become a student, you must submit the following documents:
- Personal questionnaire
- Diploma of graduation at the minimum level of first-cycle studies
- Documented at least 3 years of professional experience as a manager/director
- Payment of the fee for 1 semester
